Born in Yarrawonga, Victoria, Australia, Huhana is of Māori descent and affiliates to Ngāti Tukorehe and Ngāti Raukawa ki te Tonga. Huhana has combined her art practice with her career in the museum and academic sectors, her most recent role being Head of Whiti o Rehua School of Arts at Massey University in Wellington.
In this talk, Huhana will discuss Thirteen Months of Memories and the exploration of her experience with short-term memory loss with reference to her work as a kaitiaki environmentalist.
