Euon Murrell joined the Board in March 2026. He brings extensive experience in business, local government and community initiatives. He is the owner of a local Kāpiti business and has been on the Board of the Real Estate Institute of New Zealand for the last 10 years. In 2018, he was awarded Life Membership of the Institute in recognition of his extensive commitment to the industry. As a past five-term Porirua City Councillor, he held various positions including Deputy Mayor and Council Chair. He is a past Chairman and Board Member of the Porirua Chamber of Commerce where he served for over 20 years. He is currently the Chair of the Pataka Foundation and a member of the Kāpiti Rotary Club. He was appointed a Justice of the Peace in 1992 and in 2023, he was awarded a Queen’s Service Medal in recognition of his services to the community over the last 50 years.
