Weave a Matariki star with Te Rōpū Raranga o Manaia, a group of weavers who enjoy getting together to weave, learn from each other and to support whānau. Their vision is to promote cultural and social wellbeing of the Taranaki whānui through the traditional and contemporary practice of Raranga Toi Māori. Free and all welcome.
Spend the day at the gallery celebrating this special time of Matariki including a performance by local music duo Mocean, tā moko demonstration with Taryn Beri and watch Kohai Grace weave a Matariki cloak.
Nau mai, haere mai.
